Saturday Family Events For Children Ages 6-11 & Their Guardians

Children and family members explore architecture through hands-on activities at our Saturday events that highlight a new design topic every month! Arrive at 10am for an introduction to innovative examples of local and global architectural projects. Then, children take the lead in using the design process to create their own design proposal for a group presentation. Volunteer architects and designers assist children and families along the way.
Location: Center for Architecture & Design ⎮ 1010 Western Ave
Dates: 2nd Saturdays, 10-noon
Cost: These events are FREE. Space is limited and advance registration is strongly encouraged.
Sat, Mar 11 from 10am - 12pm
This workshop will focus on designing affordable housing. Students will study different models, such as mixed-income housing, cooperative housing and tiny homes, and build their own affordable housing structure.
