This event has passed.

Aletheia Wittman has helped shape SAF over the last few years. Please join us in wishing her well as she moves on to pursue other opportunities.

A note from SAF Executive Director, Stacy Segal:

I’m excited and also sad to share that after 4 ½  years with SAF, Aletheia Wittman our current manager of Exhibits and Public Programs (and former director of youth programs, too)  is going to be leaving SAF for new opportunities. We both started around the same time, she actually started a couple of months before me, so we’ve been through a lot of change and growth together at SAF. Aletheia is going to be co-teaching a UW graduate course in the Museology school this fall and also continuing her work through The Incluseum.

Under Aletheia’s leadership our youth programs have grown significantly to include consistent school based and summer programming that allows us to reach more than 550 youth a year – – that is more than double what we were doing when she started.   She has also elevated our model exhibit and has paved the way for future opportunities as well.   Those are just a few of the many contributions she has made to SAF.  Personally, I will miss her steady leadership, positive attitude and friendship.

To thank Aletheia and let her say farewell to the many volunteers and community partners she worked with, we will be hosting a Happy Hour Celebration on October 13 from 5-7 pm at the Center for Architecture and Design.  Please stop by to hear about her next steps and mingle with other SAF volunteers and community partners.
