February - December 2025

Designed with younger children in mind (ages 5-12 with chaperone), our family workshops encourage children and their caregivers to explore architecture through hands-on activities each month. Workshops begin with an exploration of exciting examples of architecture and activities that highlight the design process. Then, the kids are off–designing and building their own structures in a whirlwind two-hour workshop that culminates in a group presentation.

No-questions-asked scholarships are available for all SAF Family Programs thanks to funds from 4Culture's Public Free Access program. To request a scholarship, please email info@seattlearchitecture.org.

Seattle is home to some very tall buildings. Building tall can help give more people places to work and live without taking up more space on the ground. In this workshop we will look at skyscrapers in Seattle and around the world for inspiration before we create our own tall buildings.
