Homes for Animals ⎮ Family Workshop
Sat, Apr 5, 2025 from 10am - 12pm
Just like humans, animals build shelters to stay warm and protect themselves from the elements. Animal shelters look very different depending on how big the animals are and where they live. Join us to create homes and surrounding environments for your favorite animals.
Designed with younger children in mind (ages 5–12 with a chaperone), our family workshops encourage children and their caregivers to explore architecture through hands-on activities each month. Workshops begin with an exploration of exciting examples of architecture and activities that highlight the design process. Then, the kids are off—designing and building their own structures in a whirlwind two-hour workshop that culminates in a group presentation.
Parents/guardians must reserve adult chaperone tickets in addition to purchasing tickets for their children. If you encounter any difficulties reserving both types of ticket, please email info@seattlearchitecture.org for assistance.
We offer no-questions-asked scholarships for all SAF Family Workshops. Email info@seattlearchitecture.org to inquire.
